Anaprop Mall’s celebrates Mandela day

Mall@Carnival was Spreading the Love in support of Mandela Day 2017! Over 80 volunteers helped to make 3 613 sandwiches in 67 minutes. This was made possible
by tenant sponsorships, over and above Sasko South Africa who sponsored all of the bread! All sandwiches and condiments were donated to Meals on Wheels.

Mall@Carnival also entered this event into the Guinness World Records for the largest display of sandwiches so we are all holding thumbs that they get this prestigious award!

Knit-your-bit and make a difference in the lives of those in need was Mall@Reds’s inspiration for Mandela day.

Mall@Reds invited all those who knit and are in the spirit of lending a helping hand to come on Mandela Day and help knit a scarf for those in need of some extra warmth this winter. These scarves where hung on trees in the Centurion area for those who live on the street to take as needed. For as Nelson Mandela once said:
“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”

Mall@Emba along with Pick n pay and Rand Outfitters visited close to 67 disadvantaged families, Children and disabled people. Our team visited Extension 14,15,16,18 and Mandela informal settlement. A day was well spent with all families beaming with joy.
